THE STORY
Christopher Nazon (Born 1992) is a first generation Haitian-American analog photographer and videographer born and raised in Miami, Florida. Passionate about experimenting with “legacy media” and specializes in archiving, film development, and digitizing physical media. Being born in the early 1990s, Nazon's artwork represents the era’s pre and post his upbringing. And being on the tail-end of the rough transition from an analog world into a digital one. Historically, culture has been significantly shaped by still and moving images and the equipment utilized for their consumption. Tapping into forgotten mediums allows Nazon to manipulate the concept of “time”. He creates lucid and surreal scenes with the use of in-camera effects.
